An outage hit claude.ai, the Claude apps, Claude Code, Cowork and the API for about an hour. Some messages sent during it may not have been saved. A good excuse to write the plan B you've been meaning to.
Anthropic released Claude Sonnet 5.5 on 28 September. The per-token price hasn't changed, but Anthropic says it finishes most work over 30% faster and at up to 30% lower cost per task.
Claude Tag, Anthropic's Slack integration, now lets each person use the tools they have connected to their own Claude account. You can check its answer before it posts.
Zapier announced Next Gen Zaps at ZapConnect 2026. You can describe an automation in an AI tool, run lists past the old 500-item limit, and pause a run for a person to check it.
From 24 September you can edit photos and designs with Adobe tools from a Gemini chat on any plan, and Adobe's Claude plugin now includes Acrobat for PDF work.
Anthropic launched the Claude Marketplace on 23 September. It lists more than 2,000 connectors and plugins, Claude-powered products from other vendors, and consulting partners in one place.
Anthropic has made cloud sessions for Claude Code generally available. Existing Pro and Max subscribers can claim a one-time credit of $100 or $250 to try them, until 7 October.
Anthropic is folding Cowork into the main Claude chat and adding Claude Docs and Claude Slides. Pro and Max get it first, with Team and Free to follow.
Anthropic has added 43 ready-made workflows and 27 integrations to its small business plugin, including the accounting software, payment platforms and CRMs most Australian businesses already run on.
Enterprise Frontier Safeguards pairs zero data retention with automated misuse detection, and stores the data in your cloud account instead of Anthropic's.
Anthropic has added automatic security scanning for skills and plugins uploaded to Claude on Enterprise plans. It is a reminder that the add-ons you bolt onto your AI are part of your security surface.
