Gemini's new small-business hub remembers your brand, so you can stop briefing it like a new temp every time

By , Founder of Adaptd ·

Google announced a small-business hub in the Gemini app on 20 October. It saves your brand style, connects apps like Xero, Canva and Shopify, and turns messy spreadsheets into charts.

The short version

  • Gemini now has a business landing page where small business owners can make on-brand visuals and connect their other apps.
  • Google announced it on 20 October 2026, and it is rolling out globally to all Gemini app users over the following days.
  • Set up your brand style once, then test the finance tools on a copy of your numbers before you rely on them.

Most AI image tools have the memory of a goldfish when it comes to your brand. You upload the logo, explain the colours, and do it all again next week. Google's latest Gemini update is aimed squarely at that.

What is the Gemini small-business hub?

The Gemini small-business hub is a new business landing page in the Gemini app where owners can work on their brand and their finances in one place. Google announced it on 20 October 2026.

The headline feature is brand style. You upload your website, brand kit, fonts or colour palette once, and Gemini keeps that style for future marketing visuals made with Nano Banana 2.1, Google's latest image model. Gemini can also turn messy spreadsheets and receipts into charts and interactive models.

Which apps does it connect to, and who gets it?

Gemini's business hub connects to Google Business Profile, Google Ads and Google Workspace, plus Adobe, Canva, Dropbox, Shopify, Wix, Zoho and Xero. That list covers a fair chunk of the average Australian small business's browser tabs.

Google says the landing page and the new skills and connected apps are rolling out globally to all Gemini app users, starting in the days after the announcement. Give it a week or so before you go looking.

Should your business use it?

Your business should try the brand style feature first, because it fixes the most annoying part of making visuals with AI. Fifteen minutes uploading your brand kit is a small price for social posts that stop looking like someone else's.

My take: be more careful with the finance side. Connecting Xero to an AI is handy, but start with read-only questions and check the charts against your own reports before anyone makes a decision from them.

A tidy chart of the wrong numbers is still the wrong numbers. It just looks more confident.
