Google Meet notes now open with a one-page summary called Quick notes

Since 22 September, meeting notes from Google Meet's Take notes for me open on a short Quick notes page with the main takeaways and action items. The full notes sit in a second tab.

Google Meet's Take notes for me feature now starts with a one-page summary called Quick notes. Google rolled it out to all Workspace domains from 22 September.

Quick notes lists the main outcomes, action items and talking points from the meeting. It is now the first tab in the meeting notes document and appears in the email people get after the call. The longer write-up is still there in a Full notes tab. It is available on Business Standard and Plus, Enterprise Standard and Plus, Frontline Plus and the consumer AI Pro plan. There is no separate setting for it. If your organisation already uses Take notes for me, Quick notes appears on its own.

For a busy team, this changes what most people will read after a meeting. Many will look at the one-page summary in their inbox and stop there. That saves time when the summary is right. It also means any action item the summary misses may never get picked up.

Ask whoever runs each meeting to open the notes once the call ends and check the Quick notes page against what was agreed. Fix names, owners and dates before the email gets forwarded. For client calls, check the Full notes tab too before anything is shared outside the business. Google has also said new Take notes for me settings for admins and users take effect on 29 September, so this is a good week to review who has it switched on.

A shorter summary is easier to read. Someone still needs to check it before the team acts on it.
