Microsoft is handing out 25 free Copilot seats for 30 days

Copilot in 30 is a partner-run trial of Microsoft 365 Copilot Business: 25 users, 30 days, no upfront cost. It runs to the end of the year.

Microsoft opened a trial called Copilot in 30 on 1 August. It gives a smaller business 25 Microsoft 365 Copilot Business licences for 30 days at no upfront cost, and it runs through to 31 December. You cannot buy it directly. It comes through a Cloud Solution Provider partner, who sets up the licences and runs the evaluation with you.

It is aimed at businesses under 300 staff already on Microsoft 365 Business Standard or Business Premium with no paid Copilot licences. Because it runs inside your existing tenant, it sits within the security and compliance settings you already have rather than in a separate sandbox.

Twenty-five seats is the interesting part. Most software trials give you one or two licences, which tells you whether one keen person likes the tool and nothing else. Twenty-five is enough to hand a whole team the same thing for a month and watch what changes in their week.

Point it at one team and one job. Pick something you can count before and after, like hours spent writing quotes, time to first reply on support email, or how long the monthly report takes. A trial like this is designed to end in a conversion conversation, so decide up front what result would make you say yes and what result would make you walk. Check what your partner charges for setup too, because the licences are free and their time may not be.
