Copilot now has 30 ready-made skills for Dynamics 365, so your CRM can flag the stalled deal before the sales meeting does

By , Founder of Adaptd ·

On 8 October Microsoft released 30 pre-built Dynamics 365 skills for Copilot Cowork, from deal reviews to customer replies. Copilot proposes CRM changes, and people approve them.

The short version

  • Microsoft released 30 pre-built skills that let Copilot work with customer data in Dynamics 365.
  • The skills are generally available in Copilot Cowork, within the Dynamics 365 permissions people already have.
  • Start with read-only jobs like deal reviews, and check every proposed CRM update before anyone saves it.

A CRM is only as good as what people bother to type into it. Microsoft's plan is to have Copilot do more of the reading and suggest the typing.

What are the new Dynamics 365 skills in Copilot?

Microsoft's new Dynamics 365 skills are 30 ready-made instructions that teach Copilot how to do common CRM jobs. Microsoft announced them on 8 October 2026 across Dynamics 365's customer apps.

Sellers can ask Copilot to investigate why a deal is at risk, prepare for a customer review or turn meeting notes into proposed CRM updates. Service staff can review a customer's case history and draft a reply. Marketers can prepare outreach that respects customer consent settings.

Who can use it, and when?

The skills are generally available now in Copilot Cowork for organisations using Dynamics 365. Access depends on admin settings and licences, and the skills follow the Dynamics 365 and Microsoft 365 permissions people already have.

Autopilot, which runs recurring work in the background, is only in private preview. Microsoft is clear that Copilot proposes changes and a person approves them. A proposed update shouldn't show up as a saved one, and a draft shouldn't show up as a sent email.

Should your business use the Dynamics 365 skills?

Businesses already on Dynamics 365 and Copilot should try one or two of the sales skills on a live pipeline, with someone reviewing each suggestion.

My take: the deal-risk and meeting-notes skills are where the time goes, because nobody loves updating the CRM after a call. My advice: let Copilot suggest, not save, for the first month. Check its suggestions against what actually happened in the meeting. If your CRM data is patchy, Copilot will be confidently patchy too, just faster.
